For me I sit down, run the Gordon Goodwin big phat band drum book, page 1 to end, then cry🤣🤣 but yup reading is key, im a cruise ship drummer and i rather read and red even mistakes, job demands. Sometime mu fundamentals ain't balanced already, specially on an e kit sometimes😅😅, but yup, reading with interpretation is my go to, then I just incorporate the fundamentals there. Awesome vid by the way

Thanks dude! Yeah the double paradiddle pattern can be its own lesson! I could have taken it further, but I didn't want the video to be too long. As far as the snare, you're going to have to fight a line of people for that hahah. I ALMOST sold it because I wasn't using it, but so glad I took it out and remembered exactly why I bought it. IF I sell it I'll keep everyone posted :)

Hey do you still have your blue kit? I was looking into cutting my bass drums. Funny enough my 22 and 20 and was curious if you ever showcased them and how they sound post modifications.
I actually sold the blue kit! The cutting of drums made a HUGE difference in sound and feel. Gave me more punch and attack. I still have the 20x12 kick. I had it sold, but the guy backed out last minute. Honestly, I think the modification was worth it.
I can't help but smile each time I see a new release ❤❤ It's always a moment to pick up me drum sticks and start sweating 😅
